This 5-canvas oil mural, 30 ft. in length, flows together as one thanks to arterials of roads and Sammamish Slough. It graces the North Creek Cafe on the campus at University of Washington/Bothell, WA. I consulted UW maps and historical accounts for this modern-day depiction of the area that Native Americans called Squak. The Slough was and is a major thoroughfare from Lake Sammamish to Seattle. It’s a little bit of the past with the steam scow and present day with UW.
